Privacy Notice

This page explains what personal data this site processes, why, for how long, and with whom. There is nothing here to accept: it is a notice, and its job is to let you know.

Who processes the data

Daniele Di Stanio — Rome, Italy — VAT no. IT09701801004. For anything concerning your data: daniele.distanio@gmail.com. No data protection officer has been appointed: the scale of the processing does not require one.

If you leave your email address

What data. The email address you type into the form, the date you signed up, and the record of your consent (when and how you gave it).

Why. To let you know when Color Duels reopens, and to write to you when there is something real to say about the rebuild. Nothing else: no profiling, no third-party advertising, no sharing or selling of your address to anyone.

On what basis. Your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form and confirming the link you receive by email. You can withdraw it whenever you like, with one click at the bottom of any email I send: from that moment you receive nothing further and the address is deleted.

Who processes it besides me. The list is managed with Brevo (Brevo SA, France — European Union), acting as data processor and storing the addresses on its own systems on my behalf. There are no transfers outside the European Union for this processing.

For how long. Until you unsubscribe, or until the list has served its purpose. When the new site opens, this list moves into that site’s communications, on the same basis of consent and with the same one-click unsubscribe: if you would rather not, you can unsubscribe before or after, it makes no difference.

What this site still does

This is the previous version of the site, waiting to be replaced. It sells nothing, accepts no payments, and registers no new users.

There are no statistics, no advertising and no profiling tools: I do not use Google Analytics and there are no third-party pixels. The only cookies this site writes are the technical ones from WordPress and WooCommerce — the session and the cart, still in the site’s code even now that there is nothing left to buy — and they are there to make it work, not to follow you. They need no consent from you, and there is nothing to accept.

If you have an account from when the site sold subscriptions, that account’s data (username, email address, order history) is still in the database, kept for the tax and accounting obligations that apply to invoices. You can ask me to delete it: I delete everything the law does not require me to keep.

Browsing data (IP address, pages viewed) is processed by the hosting provider for the security and operation of the server, and kept in the logs for as long as is technically necessary.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what data I hold about you, to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format, and to object to the processing. Write to daniele.distanio@gmail.com: I answer, not a form. If you believe the processing breaks the law, you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), which is the competent authority because I am established in Italy.
